Hey! My name is Miranda Dashut and I am the Arts Director for IUB this year. My major is Communication and I would like to go into event planning after I graduate so IUB is the perfect place for me to be! This year I am working on building up the Arts area with new and exciting programs. While I am the Arts Director, I love to be involved in multiple areas of IUB. I hope you'll check out the Illini Union Art Gallery, the craft fairs, and all the other things IUB has to offer. Director of Traditional Programs

Hello! My name is Stuti Mehta and I am a sophomore intent on pursuing a dual degree in Political Science and Advertising. In 2012, I am looking forward to being the Director of Traditional Programs and contributing to U of I’s long-standing history. Traditional Programs organizes and executes many Homecoming, Mom’s Weekend, and Dad’s Weekend events on campus and celebrates the Union’s birthday every year. Vice President for Finance

Greetings! My name is Aaron Beasley and I'm a junior studying Economics in the college of Liberal Arts and Sciences. It gives me great pleasure to be the Vice President of Finance for Illini Union Board. With this being my first year, I plan to bring as much spirit, determination, and character to IUB.  I am currently the Treasurer of Writer's Organizing Realistic Dialect and recently became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.  My analytical mind set is what makes me excited that I am serving in this position and I have every intention to uphold this position in the best light!  My goal is to provide you, the students, with the best service I possibly can.  Never hesitate to contact me or any other director on the Illini Union Board. Director of Marketing

Hello! My name is Melanie Matlock and I serve as your Marketing Director for IUB.  I'm a junior majoring in Advertising pursuing a career in creative direction.  I'm passionate about the way positive experiences can change a person's whole outlook, so my job is to make sure that you know about all of the cool things going on with IUB so that you can come enjoy our programs!  Outside of IUB, I intern with State Farm Insurance and promote NAACP.  In my spare time, I enjoy running, painting and hanging with friends.  Tweet @IUB_Presents if you have any suggestions for our improvement!

Director of Cultural Programs

Hey there! My name is B.K. Saunders and I am a Junior majoring in Advertising in the college of Media. I am the current Director of Cultural Programs for the calendar year of 2012. I am a aspiring music artist, Chicago native, fraternity brother of Alpha Phi Alpha, and overall thrill seeker. I am very excited to be working as the Cultural Director and it is my responsibility to make sure that we expose the Champaign-Urbana community to the various cultures that are represented on this campus through various events and programs. I feel it is my responsibility to find and implement new ways to show my fellow peers new, fun and exciting ways to learn about different cultures and meet new people who they otherwise, would not. Director of Musicals

Hi everyone!  My name is Tess Mody and I am a junior majoring in Communication.  I am honored to be the Director of Musicals for 2012 and I am excited for the wonderful productions that we are going to put on.  However, this would not be possible without you guys!  If you are interested in helping out with Musicals, please let me know, as I am always open to involving more students with this awesome area!   Aside from being involved with IUB, you can find me giving tours of our lovely campus or helping out with various shows with the Penny Dreadful Players, the oldest running theater group at Illinois.  As the Director of Musicals, my mission is to bring together students from across the University in their love for musical theater.  We have many opportunities for you as we strive to put on the best possible musical theater productions.  Feel free to contact me at mody1@illinois.edu and we can talk about more specific ways you can get involved!

Director of Enriching Programs

Hello there! My name is Brittany Simon and I am a junior majoring in Human Development and Family studies with a child development concentration. In the future I plan to become a pediatrician. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family as well as my adorable puppy Prince!!!  I am the current director of Enriching for this calendar year. I am very excited and pleased to be in this position. My goals are to make sure that we have an outstanding slate of speakers that will touch each and every student in some way or another, provide mini-courses that people will actually enjoy and are excited to attend, and allow students to get a different perspective on their professors with the Last Lecture Series. I want students to see their professors in a different view that many people do not get to see. I’m most excited about making sure my committee and students are excited for events coming up! I hope that you will not only enjoy the events that are planned, but also hope you are interested in joining my committee!!! Hello everybody! My name is Emily Silva, and I am a freshman without a major in DGS. As of right now, I am really interested in majoring in Global Studies with a minor or maybe even a double major in Italian. I am the Director of Illinites here on the Illini Union Board. I am really excited to be at the head of such and exciting area that is in charge of putting on free, fun and diverse Friday night entertainment once a month that any student on campus can enjoy! In my spare time I really love kicking-back and relaxing with a book or a movie, or spending time with my friends. I like to think of myself as a friendly, outgoing, and accepting individual, so if ever you have any questions about Illinites or are interested in helping out, don't hesitate to send me an email and ask!
